Essay Tips - Essay Writing Tips - What You Need to Know About Your Dissertation Statement
Essay Tips - Essay Writing Tips - What You Need to Know About Your Dissertation StatementThesis Statement is the first draft of the dissertation. It is the first time that a student has spoken his/her opinion on a particular subject in the class and discusses it with other students, classmates and their advisors. Thesis Statement should be clear and uncomplicated. After all, your thesis statement should be the 'essence' of your dissertation. The main aim of the thesis statement is to 'stand out' in the mind of the reader. It tells the readers how much information is required. It tells them why the knowledge of the topic or the person should be gained in order to understand the thesis. The word 'how' should also be considered here. If you have not mentioned how you gained the knowledge about a topic then it would be useless to you.A statement of a thesis needs to be well written, accurate and to the point. Remember that most students are writing as an opinion piece, therefore they can freely say whatever they want in a thesis statement. This can either be good or bad. They should only discuss topics that are 'relevant' to the topic at hand. One word 'should' in a thesis statement should not always be repeated in it. It should rather be stated and may just be omitted in one or two places in a whole document. However, it must not be stated in more than one sentence as it may take up too much space. The 'should' part should not be repeated in a statement 'because.' You should state the 'because' once in a sentence. Make sure to only use 'because' when it is directly stated. In other words, you should only use 'because' in a sentence where it is directly stated.Don't start off with 'youshould read,' or 'you should try.' This may seem like a very obvious tip but keep in mind that the title of the document comes before the content. So you can't go into any topic at the beginning of your thesis statement without mentioning 'the.' 'The' should be used whenever you want to make a 'statement.'When writing your thesis statement, you should avoid using 'which' in a sentence. This is because 'which'which not' can be combined with the word 'because' and it would still mean 'because' and not 'which.' This rule is very important and you should always remember this.Your thesis statement should be made in the first draft. Once the draft is completed, you may rewrite until you have a document that you are happy with. But never try to rewrite your statement while in the process of writing the first draft.
